We both agreed, it was lovely to get back out in the open boats (Canadian Canoes) today. SUPs and sea boats have been taking the forefront recently and these beautiful craft have been pushed to the back somewhat. A simple journey up to High Esk from our works carpark in beautiful winter light.

Paddling Home From Work - again...
Another opportunity to 'paddle home from work'. Plenty of water and flow which aided our progress downstream, its only 8kms to our egress and a stones throw from the house. First time on the 2021 Voyager 13'2, very impressive.

Humber Marathon
Local launch, two people, one hell of a daily exercise workout. Jumping on the river three hours before high water on small tides we ferry glided across to the south bank. Then to South Ferriby, Reeds Island and then down to the village of Whitton before crossing to the north bank and circumnavigating Whitton Island clockwise. It was then a simple journey back towards the bridge on the ebb with lots of fresh water flushing us down assisted with a back wind. Six hours on the water and the best part of 40kms covered

Paddling Home
Fortunate to finish work at 3pm today and even more fortunate to be able to paddle home from work. 8kms from workshop to home along the meandering river. Levels were high which assisted progress and made for a nice simple egress down in Dunswell.

New Years Day Paddle on the Upper Tidal River
Two groups on the water this morning, a fast bunch and then the rest of us. A perfect way to start the year and the weather was so kind. Yours truly wimped out on paddling a board and took the fast sea boat instead. Though I seemed to lose that on the return journey.
Beautiful day, beautiful people...
