Kayak Fishing
Another day of barmy weather, undersized pollock and chilling on the beach. We tried really hard for bass but eventually went for the deep diving lures only to find undersized fish, big thanks to Gary for all of his help, feel I've sussed the controller float and jelly eel fishing, just need to find the bass now.. Fiona did well and worked so hard.... No bass for dinner, just a good old Pot Noodle

Mull of Galloway
I completed this journey 11 years ago in a rather gung ho attitude alone. Today we undertook it again with perfect planning and consideration to wind and tide in amazingly unseasonal conditions. A wonderful day, tide assist for the whole duration, then a light breeze on our backs as we headed back up Luce Bay, more tide assist here than I expected. Fiona did amazing in all honesty, well impressed, 30 kilometres with a 2 km walk for yours truly to set up the shuttle...

Gigha on the Bikes
A windy day up here on the west coast, the temperature has dropped a tad too. Left the boats on the roof, our first choice was for a visit to Arran but the ferry had issues and was not running. So a revisit to an island we circumnavigated last August but this time to visit its interior on the bikes. A lovely day, bright sunshine and a wicked back wind back to the ferry. Off to Mull of Galloway tomorrow.

A Hike Over Jura
Today we decided on a hike on Jura but to get there we needed to undertake a two hour sea kayak journey. A really memorable day, far too warm for September and the sun shone all day. Two hours back in lumpy seas and the job is done..

Grey Dogs with Friends
Really happy to have shared the last 24 hours with Dave and Andy, we had dinner in the Tayvallick Inn last night with way too much wine. Then today with a slower start to the day we launched with Shuna and ultimately the Grey Dogs Tide race in our sites. The weather was just amazing for the end of September. Lots of dolphins, sea eagles, seals, red dear and even a red squirrel on the way home. A really fun day, I was sure that whirlpool was going to swallow me up though, the size of a family car, I've never back paddled so fast in my life...

Shuna
A little breezy today so we opted for a simple paddle around this lovely island leaving the tide races for another day. A little lumpy but perfect planning of a clockwise circumnavigation made it easy with lots of shelter and downwind paddling..mostly. Lots of otters, I never tire of seeing these guys, even managed a few snaps..

Carsaig Bay to Tayvallich
One of our favourite parts of the world, add an awesome forecast, today was always going to be good. Lots of moving water due to the big tides, thankfully mostly assisting us. We counted 4 otters, lots of seals but yet no sea eagles.
