New Boards for Jo and Stu
Really nice to get friend Jo and son-in-law Stuart back out on the water this afternoon. I've had the pleasure of coaching them both and it was really nice to see them both out on maiden voyages on their own boards. No stopping them now.

Post Christmas Paddle under Bempton in the Sea Boats
A Little weather window gave us the opportunity to sneak under Bempton Cliffs in the sea boats - not too find, we didn't want to be going over into North Yorkshire..... A cracking morning with a little motion and just enough sunshine to keep the chill off.

Winter Fitness Training - Taran & Nordy on the River
Blowing a hooley, nothing for it but to blast up the river in the Rockpool Taran. A hard push up but an easy ride back.. Love this boat. Rudi did very well in the Valley Norcapp.

Humber in the Sea Boat
Cadet Lewis has been nagging for me to take her on the Humber in the sea boats for ages. With settled winds and a suitable tide we made our way from the Humber Bridge to Whitton Island as soon as their was a little light. Plenty of tide assist in both directions made for a fast journey.
Amazing light for most of the day, it rained and it hailed but the sun made lots of appearances
A very respectable 34 Km covered.

White Water SUP at Howsham
A bit of white water SUP and our only local white water. We've played here many, many times in canoe and kayak but this is our first time on SUP. It was an absolute scream and I didn't think I could pull Fiona away.

A Downwind Run with Lou
A quick downwind run up the river in the long boats this morning, an absolute pleasure to have Lou for company. Also very grateful the weather was a lot less fierce than forecast.

Surfer Dudes at Hunmanby Gap
We've messed about surfing a few times now, its great fun and much transfers from the long and short boats, keep that blade active, edge and trim are so important too, messy waves today but it was great just to be out there playing about.

Flamborough Head with Rudi
A barmy November day around Flamborough Head in the sea boats, enough motion and tide to keep us on our toes. Well done Rudi, you did great and you're progressing really well, good skills today. Out on the ebb back on the beginning of the flood

Saturday, 24 October 2020
So I really fancied a day off, just to do a few jobs around the house...but no, I wasn't allowed, Cadet Lewis insisted we set up a shuttle and use this lovely warm southerly wind to our advantage...an A to B journey with the 48mph gusts on our backs 😳
It wasn't all plain sailing, we had to push against a little wind but we also had a few moments that we felt just 5 metres behind a Boeing 787 powering up...
Rudi was very impressed when I jumped onto her board and used mine as a sail, I think we touched 5 knots at one point... we did good, simple adventures close to home..... Lewis I'm taking the day off tomorrow ok?!?
