Sea Kayak Expedition 2016 - MacLeod's Maidens & the Ramasaig Coast

The following morning we departed Waiy Island and headed across the short crossing towards the Maidens. This again was a piece off coast I have wanted to paddle for quite some time, the weather was yet again unbelievable - wall to wall blue sky.

I knew this coastline was amazing with waterfalls, caves, arches and stacks but the reality of it still took our breath away. I'll leave the images to do the talking and of course they are all fully clickable for full page viewing. Thank you for looking.

Sea Kayak Expedition 2016 -Wiay Island, Skye

We again moved down the coast and made our way to the west coast of Skye. Getting onto the water late afternoon we made our way to the Island of Wiay where we were to wild camp for the evening.

Sea Kayak Expedition 2016 - The Summer Isles

We moved down the coast a little and set up camp at yet another amazing campsite. This was just off the beach and again we were greeted with wall to wall blue sky's. This was to be a simple and non challenging trip with flat seas and light winds.

Sea Kayak Expedition 2016 - Handa Island

I had been looking at Handa on maps and in Google for sometime, I really wanted to get there and discover this lovely place. We camped at a beautiful campsite overlooking the bay and Handa in the distance. This journey certainly did not disappoint.

Sea Kayak Expedition 2016 - Cape Wrath

We slowly made our way up to the very north of Scotland and reached our destination of Durness. From here our plan was to tackle the formidable headland of Cape Wrath. All the tidal planning was in place and it finally looked like the weather was going to play ball too.

River Derwent & Pocklington Canal

Mid May and more lovely weather. Another simple trip, this time on the River Derwent and onto the Pocklington Canal. SUP boards all around..

1st Wet & Wild SUP Demo Weekend

On the 7th of May we had a simple paddle on the Driffield Canal to celebrate the Canal Open Day. It seemed spring has finally arrived. Roger was paddling his open canoe, Anthony was in kayak and I paddled a SUP, we of course all swapped around a little too.

Flamborough & Bempton on a Fine Day

We never tire of this local trip. We are truly blessed in having some of the best coastal scenery in the country on our doorstep. I'll let the images do the talking..

SUP School

Mid April we had the pleasure of assisting Caroline Carr deliver a demo session at Cleethorpes. It was a little gust but everyone had great fun.
