Leon's First Tripon the Humber
Leon, a very keen and enthusiastic chap, came to the club a few months ago with one wish, to paddle the River Humber. With his brilliant attitude and a bit of training I now felt he was capable of the trip. I was chuffed to bits to be the one to guide him across then around Reeds Island, then finally back to the bridge using the tides. We even had to stop and have a pint at the the South Ferriby pub just to wait for the optimum moment to carry on our journey.

A Lumpy Day
Had a pleasant day with friend Dave recently. We paddled out of Boggle Hole and up to Whitby, a couple of worrying moments but all good fun
UKCC Level 2 Assessment
Had a great day in the middle of May delivering a Level 2 assessment, a few nerves but the group did me proud. Many thanks to Kim Bull for making the journey down to overlook proceedings.

Sea Kayak Handling Skills
As part of my level 2 portfolio I had to deliver six progressive session. With such a wonderful group this became a great couple of months with lots of learning and fun.
